The Garage Waiting List

August 23, 2005

Dear Mr. Friedland:

I follow various issues at SPHC, and some aspects of the management of the Garage Waiting List have caught my attention. To the best of my knowledge, of the top 22 people listed in the May 2005 list, numbers 2,6,9,11 and 15 are still on the list, numbers 12 and 22 were wrongly removed from the list, and number 12 and 14 got spots (#12 after having compained about being wrongly removed).

The garage is an important resource in our community, and Shareholders wait for many years for their turn to claim a spot. The fact that names can wrongly disappear from the waiting list or that some people get spots before their time is very disturbing.

I am a shareholder who has a valid interest in the transparency of how things are done here, In that context, I respecfully ask for answers and documentation in response to the following questions.

  1. What are the circumstances that caused people to be removed from the May 2005 list?

  2. What are the circumstances that allowed people to get spots before shareholders whose names appeared earlier on the May 2005 list?

  3. How many spots became available between the publication of the May 2005 and August 2005 lists?

  4. What is the disposition of people who were listed as numbers 1,3,4,5,7,8,10,13,15,16,17,18,19,20 and 21 in the May 2005 list?

  5. How has the list been maintained, and how will it be maintained in order to avoid problems in the future?

Thank you for your attention. A prompt response would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Dan Strum
